Back to the Multi-Touch start page
As an inexpensive solution, we built two MTmini devices (one for each developer), so we can generate TUIO input data at home without needing a full multi-touch table. This cost us 50 Euros (about 40 Euros for a PS3 Eye webcam + 10 Euros for the small parts). You should also have some spare boxes lying around for the case or just build one yourself. The room lighting is also important to get right in order to get good tracking results. I currently use an indirect light source that even works fine during nightly development sessions.
This video shows how the MTmini tracking works, and how we can interface Python code with the TUIO-based tbeta tracking application using the PyTUIO library.
