N9 Personal Web Server
If you ever wanted to have an easy and secure way to access files on your N9 from your home network, you've found the solution!
Here are some ideas what you can do with the personal web server:
- Stream Music and Podcasts
- Download Documents and Videos
- View Photos and Screenshots
This application will offer files in your MyDocs partition to other machines on the same network - you see a log of all requests, and also have the option to re-generate a new random password.
Please note: The files are transferred unencrypted, so only use this personal web server when you are connected to a trusted network (e.g. your local home network). Don't keep sensitive files on your MyDocs partition while using this application, including backups!
Serve your MyDocs ("Mass Storage") partition on the local network from this password-protected web server. All requests are logged in the main screen.
For security reasons, the server has to be enabled from the app window - it will not run in the background.
Access your files from any web browser on the same network as your N9. Please only use this application on your own trusted home network - the traffic is not encrypted.
Update 2014-04-19: The Personal Web Server is not available from Nokia Store anymore. Instead, you can download it directly here as .deb file:

For archival purposes, the first open source release of Serverr is also available as a source tarball, although the Git repository is recommended (it might include more up to date fixes): harmattan-serverr-1.0.0-1-g7fb55bf.tar.gz
